Yazdi Qotab consists of two parts: the outer layer and the inner core. Its outer layer, which is a bread fried in oil, is made of wheat flour, milk or yogurt, and egg yolk, which is rolled in powdered sugar after cooking. The inner core of this pastry is also made of a mixture of almond powder, powdered sugar, and cardamom. Kermani Qotab is one of the traditional and delicious pastries of Iran, which is different from its Yazdi counterpart, which has many fans due to its unique taste and aroma. This pastry consists of two parts: dough and core. The dough of Qotab is soft and tender.

This pastry is also prepared in a diet type for diabetics without sugar.
